Burtolla police arrested a person on Sunday for selling off his 20-year-old wife in 2011 and then selling her off to a 'flesh trade' agent two months back. The accused, Moloy Das, married the girl in 2011. One Moloy Kumar Das who married a 20-year-old in 2011 and then sold her off to another man Balai Karmakar about two months ago who in turn allegedly forced the girl in flesh trade in Sonagachi. The girl managed to escape from Karmakar's clutches on Friday and lodged a complaint on Saturday. Police said Das was already married before he married the girl. Das was produced in court and has been remanded to 9 day police custody while Karmakar is absconding.
